BOSTON, March 2024 – Sea Legs Integrative Veterinary Health, founded by pet pain specialist Dr. Jaclyn Coble, opens its doors to bring variety into Boston’s pet care options. By taking on Boston’s monotone, multi-conglomerate veterinary ecosystem, Dr. Coble introduces integrative therapies into pet care as opposed to the conventional approach adopted by traditional vet clinics that typically rely solely on conventional modern medicine.
Responsible pet parenting takes more than only diet and exercise. It’s imperative to create and maintain communication with local veterinarians on what to expect as your dog ages. The responsibility lies with the leash holder to take precautionary measures to keep our four-legged family members healthy and thus out of pain. Sea Legs Integrative Veterinary Health treatments extend beyond temporary pain relief via medicine and incorporate various modalities to create a holistic pet care plan.
Devoted to the Boston communities, Dr. Coble herself graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Class of ‘07, and later Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, Class of ‘12, but it was upon completion of her internship with MSPCA Angell and 10 years of working in emergency care that Dr. Coble came to realize that most pet parents are ‘reacting’ instead of ‘anticipating’ and taking preventative measures against injury.
A one-stop shop for pet care, Sea Legs Integrative Veterinary Health offers alternative therapies such as hydrotherapy in a UV-filtered saltwater treadmill, acupuncture, laser therapy, shockwave therapy, and pulsed electromagnetic field (pEMF) treatments alongside a full-service veterinary clinic, complete with medical management, digital x-ray, and in-house lab work. As ‘physical therapy’ is a term coined specifically for their human counterparts, Dr. Coble offers Veterinary Rehabilitation therapies conveniently covered by many basic pet insurance plans.
“Our goal at Sea Legs Integrative Veterinary Health is to help pet owners understand what some of those whimpers and whines might be trying to tell us,” says Dr. Coble, “If our doctor tells us we have a procedure upcoming, we prepare for it both before and after to ensure a smooth recovery. This key aspect of recovery needs to be extended to our pets as well. It’s our responsibility as pet owners to keep them healthy, and that includes pain management.”
Sea Legs Integrative Veterinary Health serves families in the Greater Boston area out of their West Roxbury location, where pets and owners leave with happy tails.
At Sea Legs Integrative Veterinary Health, Jaclyn M. Coble, DVM, CCRP, CVA takes a holistic approach to pet care with a specialized emphasis on pet pain management. She developed her practice philosophy around an understanding and passion for long-term, palliative pet care. Utilizing both medicinal and traditional therapeutic options, Sea Legs Vet provides both access and specialized treatments under qualified supervision to the furry friends of Boston.
