Dr. Ben Livshits is the CEO of Zilliqa where he is responsible for driving the company’s global commercialization and ecosystem-building strategy. Previously, Ben served as the Chief Scientist of Brave Software, the company behind the leading privacy-friendly Brave browser, where he helped to create the world’s first practical privacy-preserving ad targeting and delivery system. Ben has spent over two decades at leading global tech companies including Microsoft Research, Yahoo! Inc, Netscape, and Intel. Ben received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Stanford University, and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Cornell University. He is one of the most productive scientists and a world leader in areas that span blockchain, privacy, security, and programming languages, having taught at Imperial College London, MIT, and UW.
